On this occasion, the two sides held separate bilateral talks, which were later expanded to include the delegations of the two countries in a working session that focused on ways to strengthen fraternal relations and cooperation between Algeria and the Kingdom. of Saudi Arabia, as well as the prospects. to overcome the political and security crises that threaten the stability of many Arab countries.

In this context, and in anticipation of the upcoming bilateral benefits, the heads of diplomacy of the two countries agreed on practical measures to strengthen the legal and structural framework of bilateral relations, especially completing the development of legal texts that enrich the legal arsenal. . for bilateral cooperation, and the establishment of the Algerian-Saudi Higher Coordination Council in its various subsidiary bodies, as well as promoting the exchange of official visits in order to explore and materialize promising opportunities for cooperation and association in the economic field.

The two sides also discussed the development of relations in the Maghreb region and the efforts made to end the crises in Sudan, Yemen, Libya, Syria and Lebanon. In the context of the preparation for the upcoming Arab summit in Jeddah, the need to take advantage of this new opportunity to continue efforts to purify the Arab atmosphere and promote Arab reconciliation as an extension of the decisions and directions of the Algiers Summit was emphasized. 2022 aimed at achieving the reunification and consolidation of the Arab ranks to face the various challenges that arise at the regional and international level.
