The tasks of the Legal Affairs Department are :

- Sending requests for criminal record certificate No. 03 and handing over this document to the concerned parties.

- Sending eligibility certificate requests to the Algerian authority that issued the driver's license in Algeria, the district or the state

- Protection of citizens within the framework of the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 407-02 dated 26/11/2002 regarding defining the powers of heads of consular posts .

- Mediating family disputes, in cooperation with the social service at the consulate .

- Legal advice on people's status and eligibility .

-visit of prisoners .
